Rosa Nieto, on behalf of the Animal Nutrition Group at the Estación Experimental del Zaidín (EEZ‑CSIC), participated in the 16th Forum of the National Association of Iberian Pig Veterinarians (ANVEPI), held in Seville, Spain, on 11–12 March 2026.

The EEZ‑CSIC team was invited by ANVEPI to present the latest research results closely linked to the Iberian pig sector, including work carried out within the Re‑Livestock project. The forum brought together veterinary professionals and researchers to exchange knowledge on key challenges facing pig production systems.

During the event, Rosa Nieto presented recent findings from the Re‑Livestock project, focusing on strategies to enhance feed sustainability and improve tolerance to heat stress, two critical challenges for the future resilience of the Iberian pig production sector. The discussions provided a valuable opportunity to reflect on how research outcomes can support practical solutions for the sector under changing climatic conditions.

Beyond the scientific exchange, the forum also offered a valuable opportunity to reconnect with colleagues and long‑standing collaborators, strengthening links between research, veterinary practice, and the Iberian pig sector.

The Re‑Livestock project warmly thanks ANVEPI for the invitation and for providing a dynamic platform to share and discuss ongoing research relevant to Iberian pig production.
