The large cohort experiments designed in Italy have been completed, as this was mostly based on background data and samples.
This experiment included Italian Large White pigs and was carried out in collaboration between University of Bologna (UNIBO) and ANAS. All plasma samples have been already prepared and metabolomics analyses are in progress. The second large cohort experiment, led by PIC, has been started and will be completed by the next month.
The small cohort experiments designed in Spain, Italy and Poland, which include local pig breeds, cosmopolitan pig breeds and crossbred populations, have been already planned and will be completed by the end of the summer period.
