Session 21 addressed heat stress in pig and poultry production. Topics included its consequences and strategies to cope with global warming, with a focus on gut microbiome profiles and growth metabolism in heat-stressed piglets.
Preliminary results on heat tolerance in Polish local pigs were shared, along with methods to improve resilience in livestock production.
